I'm living back in Denver for the summer near the Denver Botanic Gardens and today was the first chance I've had to pop in and go for a wander. It rained a little this morning and the sky was perfectly covered in coal gray clouds creating my favorite light to shoot in.
There were piles of little bunnies galloping through the gardens today. This one surprised me and then proceeded to eat the flower that I was trying to shoot.
It was a gorgeous day and I shot hundreds of flower & plant images. It reminded me of my early years of shooting photos. Flowers were my favorite and I never get tired of capturing their pretty little details.
The photo below is my favorite from today. You can see the fuzzy, silver plant that was behind this flower and I was SO excited when I saw this combo. I often composite multiple photos to create images that have this kind of look & feel, but I love when it all comes together naturally and all I have to do is take the photos. No futzing needed.
I think I'll be making my photo walks a new blog series. And if you want to go on a photowalk with me, I'm leading a walk for Worldwide Photowalk Day on October 6th. You can sign up here. I'd love it if you joined me!
As for today's photowalk, it was a good reminder to slow down and come at the world with a beginner's mind again.
