It's only April and this has already been such a life expanding year for me. So many things I've been working towards and trying to figure out are finally starting to come together. I can't wait to share with you some of the things I've been working on. Soon.
One of the big things I've learned recently and have really focused on for the last 6 months or so is the idea that if you want to make space for the things that you really want in your life, you have to remove the things that you don't want. It sounds simple enough but I never really took the time to get clear on exactly what I wanted in my life, and what I didn't want in my life. I never thought about things in those terms. But as it turns out, we tend to collect a lot of things we don't necessarily want, or at least I did. Things that take up our time, space, money, energy. Those are all things that can and do crowd out the things we really do want in our lives.
Once I took a very long look at what I wanted to be doing with my personal resources and where they were actually all going instead, I was able to strategically make a lot of changes. I feel like I'm crafting a life that finally fits me a whole lot better.
It has given me back so much time to do the things that I really want to be doing with my time. Blogging being one of them. So here I am. Showing up for the first time in a long time but I'm firmly on a different path now, which is a little scary, but also super exciting! For me.
Today, I feel like I can do anything. I hope the same is true for you, wherever you are on your journey.
In other updates... I moved to Canada for the year. I'm living in a little town on an island on Lake Huron. It's a beautiful, farm filled island with a staggering number of deer and birds and delicate landscapes that require continually stopping for photos. I'm living right on the lake and it's been peaceful watching the ice fishermen and now the arriving birds of summer.
I can't wait to see what happens next.
