I'm leaving Canada today to head back to the US for a few weeks. I'm happier to be going 'home' than I thought I would be, but I'm reluctant to let this period in my life end. I've learned and created a lot during these quiet months of focus. I wish it could last longer, but for now it's adieu to this beautiful place until I return in July.
I feel a little untethered at the moment with no place to live that I can call my own, but I also really like knowing that I don't know exactly how this experimental year is going to turn out. I've never had an adventure that I didn't end up loving, so I feel pretty good that this one will be all right...
My next stop is Denver, via Nashville and Kansas City. I'm visiting friends in Nashville that put the sun in sunshine and I always come away wishing I could stay. In Kansas City I'm going to start a new photographic project. Something I've been mulling over for the last few weeks and I've wanted to shoot there for a long time. Definitely a weekend I'm looking forward to.
Adios Canada... next dispatch from Colorado.
